On Monday, October 14th, 1996, forty-two year old Ylva Hagner was working late at her Belmont, California workplace. Waving bye-bye to her employer at 9: 30 this would be the last time anybody saw the Swedish National alive. Before daybreak the next day, she would inexplicably disappear.
Thirty-six hours lateron, Ylva was reported missingouton. Two days after that, cops discovered her deserted automobile less than a mile south of her workplace. There was no trace of Ylva, no indication of a battle, absolutelynothing to recommend a criminaloffense had even been devoted. Faced with a spectacular absence of proof, detectives practically rightaway started striking dead ends.
