Some of the tasks involve:
– Sterilising the dental instruments
– Instructing patients in proper oral hygiene

– Process x rays and complete lab tasks, under the direction of a dentist
– Ensure that patients are comfortable in the dental chair
– Prepare patients and the work area for treatments and procedures
– placing and removing periodontal and surgical dressings
– Taking impressions for treatments such as crowns, veneers or Invisalign
– Apply topical anesthetic
– Applying fluoride to the teeth as an anticavity measure
– Preparation of the teeth for bonding

I have been working as a dental assistant with AJ for over 5 years. My job is very rewarding, especially seeing the smile that we create at the end of the treatment. Our team is a mix of many languages and culture. I love my team and really enjoy working at Northmed Dental.
