In event of Women’s History Month, we continued our virtual discussion series: Diversity Dialogues – Honoring our previous, commemorating our present and makingsure an fair and inclusive future.
Our visitors consistedof: Shelia S. Price , DDS, EdD, MA, Associate Dean of Admissions, Recruitment, & Access and Professor of Diagnostic Sciences at West Virginia University School of Dentistry; Jeanne C. Sinkford, DDS, MS, PhD, DSc, Professor Emeritus and previous Dean of the Howard University College of Dentistry, and the veryfirst female Dean of a U.S. oral school; and Marilyn P. Woolfolk, DDS, MS, MPH, Professor Emerita of Dentistry and Assistant Dean Emerita of Student Services from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
Drs. Sheila S. Price, Jeanne C. Sinkford and Marilyn P. Woolfolk have justrecently launched “Undaunted Trailblazers: Minority Women Leaders for Oral Health.” The book commemorates the victory and accomplishments of lotsof exceptional females of color oral health leaders. The exceptional ladies in the book come from lotsof various cultures, backgrounds, races/ethnicities and have a host of varied experiences that assisted shape the vibrant females they are.
