The Snellen eye test, established by Dutch eye doctor Herman Snellen reinvented vision evaluation. Snellen’s approach changed eye evaluations, offering a measurable procedure of visual skill. Today, variations of the Snellen chart stay a foundation of eye care, making it possible for clinicians to precisely detect refractive mistakes like nearsightedness and farsightedness.
