Displaced by war, Ukrainian trainees develop a future in Vancouver|The Story|Dec. 19, 2023

Dec. 19 on The Story: At Cascadia Technical Academy in Vancouver, over a lots trainees out of the 1,300 registered have a typical story– among survival, and one shaded by the scaries of war. These trainees are refugees from Ukraine displaced after Russia’s intrusion, and they’re here to find out. A lot of didn’t understand how to speak English before they got here. Now they’re not just finding out the language, they’re discovering the tools needed to construct their own futures.
