Ohio’s vaccination rate was slowing, up until Republican politician Guv Mike DeWine began his Vax-a-Million lottery game, providing a possibility to win a million dollars, or a scholarship. That’s caused a 45%boost in individuals getting immunized in the state. Some Republican politicians are pressing back on Guv DeWine’s effort, presenting anti-vaxx legislation and decrying it a waste. “The genuine waste,” states DeWine, “the terrible waste– is when you lose somebody to Covid.” May 30, 2021
